We all feel it. The summer heat, store fronts advertising nothing but bathing suits and we think to ourselves.. ohh no! It’s time to get back into shape again! Am I right? Lately I have really been slacking on my workout routines and I am just now starting to get back into it. It is so easy to get out of your workout routine! So whether you are just starting out or have been feeling unmotivated lately these 10 tips and tricks will for sure help you!
1). Have a Routine! Make a schedule as to what days and times you are going to workout everyday and stick to them no matter what! This helps tremendously because as humans we do better when we have a routine and stick with it.
2). Splurge on Some New Workout Clothes! My workout outfit that I have on here is from the Pink Lily Boutique and is seriously giving me total gym feels! A few new sports bras and/or leggings can really give you the boost you need to get into a good routine because whenever us girls get a new outfit that we love it’s only in our nature to want to show it off to the world!
3). Consistency. You need to at least be going to the gym 3-5 days a week in order to see true results and in order to be motivated to go the gym you have to be seeing actual real results which brings me to the next tip!
4). Results. Make sure to track your progress at least once a week. You can do this by weighing yourself once a week or simply going by how your clothes fit and looking at yourself in the mirror.
5). Get a Workout Buddy. This is one of my favorite tips on the list because if you have someone to workout with then naturally you will enjoy your workouts more and it will motivate you to go because doing anything with your best friend is fun right?
6). To Reduce Stress. Working out can and will reduce stress! Literally all you have to do is go to the gym and you will feel better so basically it’s like taking an all natural stress pill! How neat is that? This alone should motivate all of us to go to the gym especially for those of us who tend to get stressed out easy like myself!
7). To Have Social Time. Going to the gym can open up a lot of doors for you socially. After all Aldin and I did meet at the gym! It really is a great place to meet people and to get out and get social. For me personally I like to go to the gym when I am feeling lonely because the gym is always full of motivated people that will pump you up.
8). Find Workouts You Enjoy. This is another key tip because if you don’t enjoy your workouts than how are you going to feel motivated to workout? Exactly you’re not. Find a workout routine that you enjoy and love! There are plenty out there, you just need to find the perfect one for you.
9.) Pick a Gym Close By. If your gym is an hour away from you you won’t be as motivated to go. The closer the better. For example, I loved this one gym that was an hour away from me but realistically I knew that I would not want to drive their 3-5 days a week so I did my research and found a gym closer to home that I am equally just as happy with!
10). Set Goals. It is important to set realistic body goals for yourself because this will help you continue to want to go to the gym so that you can fulfill and reach those goals. Notice how I said realistic! You should not set unrealistic goals as those will only hurt you in the long run. For example, a realistic goal would be I want to loose 20 pounds in 6 months. An unrealistic goal would be I want to loose 20 pounds in two weeks and look like a model because it is very hard to do that in a healthy way and you will only feel discouraged and defeated if you set unrealistic goals for yourself.
